About Locke Park Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Display 2024

Locke Park Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Display is a family orientated event which includes Roger Tuby & Son Funfairs (Funfair rides are not included in the price of entry tickets).

NEW for 2024 - We will be running TWO firework displays. The First is a small child friendly firework display at 7pm, which will be set off before the bonfire is lit. The Second is the main event which will be set off later on in the evening, after the bonfire has got going!

Please note - Your tickets will be sent by email. You need to open your tickets and either bring on your phone, or print off for scanning. The EMAIL is NOT the ticket. Open the attachment and download the tickets from your email confirmation.

This event is organised and run by a team of volunteers from Barnsley Round Table with the sole aim of raising money for local charities and good causes.

Profits from the event are donated to Barnsley based charities and good causes and so the money raised does not leave the local area.

The event consists of a funfair with food and drink stalls (no alcohol), a large bonfire built out of unusable fire doors donated to us, and a 15-minute fireworks display.

Limited parking is available FREE OF CHARGE on a first come first served basis and is on hard standing approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the event. Parking is provided in conjunction with Greenacre School at Keresforth Hill Road, Barnsley, S70 6RG.  Please follow the signs and when you arrive you will be directed to a parking bay by staff on site.  We will have security patrolling the site during the event for security of vehicles and the school, however we accept NO liability for any vehicles, or contents within, parked in our parking area.

Gates and funfair open at 6pm.

Small child friendly fireworks at 7pm.

Bonfire lighting is 7:15pm.

Fireworks display is 8pm.

Conditions of Entry.

This is a family-based event and so we do not sell alcohol on the grounds and do not allow the consumption of alcohol within the grounds.  We will confiscate and pour out alcohol if found on people within the event grounds and you may be asked to leave.

Entry may be refused if you or a member of your party are intoxicated through drink or drugs and/or show abusive or aggressive behaviour towards staff or other attendees.

Sparklers are NOT allowed due to health and safety reasons.

No re-entry allowed once you leave.

Refunds are not available for any reason other than cancellation of the event.
