About Writing the Landscape – A Day with Author Linda Cracknell
Join Linda Cracknell for a morning’s gentle walking, observing and structured creative activities in the inspiring Forest of Birse, returning to the Old School, Finzean in the afternoon to write.
Linda Cracknell is an Aberfeldy-based writer of fiction and non-fiction. Walking and immersion in the natural world are essential to her craft as espoused in books such as Writing Landscape and Doubling Back: Ten paths trodden in memory. Her workshop in the Forest of Birse and area will give you ways of exploring places through words and encouraging, through structured tasks, both close attention and imaginative freedom. We will be outdoors and note-taking in the morning and after lunch we will move to consolidating our writing indoors. No prior experience is necessary, just a will to refresh our ways of looking and writing.
