About Barfest

Welcome to BARFEST - Barford’s First Family Festival.

BARFEST is the first of its kind community event, with a festival vibe, brings together local people and talent, with live music, street food, bar, fun activities and more!<

Locally renowned musician Myles Matthews will open the event with some cool relaxing summer vibes- interweaving jazz standards from the American song book with contemporary pop. Leamington based musician and guitar teacher with 20 years of playing professionally in bands and solo, Myles can be heard jazzing it up with the house band of the Bedford Street Jazz Jam as well as SnapBack duo and other well known ensembles.

Thom Kirkpatrick – the One Man Band and The Pips will headline the event.

Singer-songwriter Thom Kirkpatrick is a formidable live act known as ‘The Beautiful Noise’. Performing a range of hit genres, Thom builds his arrangements live as he goes, adding synth, percussion and vocals while expertly strumming an acoustic guitar – it’s music mastery not to be missed.

We’re also thrilled to be joined by The Pips, the #1 female trio in the Midlands! Talented and unique, The Pips perform popular classics from the 60’s to the present day in lush three-part harmonies. Past appearances include BBC Top of the Pops, the 02 Arena, The Royal Albert Hall and Warwick Castle!

And the excitement doesn’t stop there…the afternoon is packed with an abundance of FREE and a few chargeable festival-themed activities for kids and adults alike.

You can expect to be enchanted by a roaming magician and stilt man, and enjoy many complementary activities in fun zones including Eco and Wellness.

You can tuck into some great food and drink with offerings from street food to tasty treats.

A full event programme will be announced soon, so watch this space!!
