Forró Bristol proudly presents Desabafo no Pé , an amazing full band of female musicians that come all the way from Germany to play first time in Bristol!
Desabafo no Pé is a Forró band composed of three women from Brazil, Colombia and France: a zabumba player (Mama Suen), a singer and triangle player (Melissa Morcote) and a sanfoneira (Zinda Bloch).
A «Desabafo» is a brazilian way to letting things out, things you have on your mind and need to confess.
The stories told by Desabafo no Pé through their music are meant to tell a different story, a more feminist one, and to let express yourself with the dance and forget about the rest.
Join us for this incredible night of live music and Forró dance-a traditional Brazilian partner dance. Prior the live music band starts, we will also have a Forró class with Anax Caracol, our amazing Forró teacher based in London. The class will be ideal for ‘forrozeiros' and complete beginners alike.
