Saturday 9th November
Gates Open 4:30pm
Event Finishes: 7:30pm
We are really excited to be holding our annual fundraising family fireworks event, it’s going to be a great night!
Fireworks
There will be a brilliant firework display provided by the Nevill Juvenile Bonfire Society. Please note: to make it safe for the children to use the field after the event we are not able to have a bonfire this year.
Lantern Parade
Each child’s ticket includes a paper lantern that can be picked up from the front desk on arrival so that your child can join in with our lantern parade, or if they would prefer to make their own this is very welcome, and you can just pick up a battery powered tealight. BrassSparks band will be providing music to accompany the parade.
Food and Drinks
Burgers, sausages, chips and a selection of delicious Caribbean food will be available to purchase from the Bajan Jerk Box. Mulled wine, mulled apple juice, beer, prosecco and soft drinks will be available at our bar. Warm drinks, cakes and other sweet treats will be available from our café tent.
Entertainment
There will be face painting, a tombola, a lucky dip and more to entertain the children.
Raffle
There will be some amazing prizes in our raffle this year, including a 2-night stay in a ‘Skylark’ family pod at Housedean Farm Campsite and a SportsCool holiday club voucher worth £100 (a full list of prizes will be distributed soon). Make sure to purchase your tickets either at the online checkout or on the night from the front desk.
Schedule
A full schedule will be shared a few days before the event.
Who Are The PTFA and What Do We Do?
The PTFA is a charitable organisation whose role is to support the school by raising money to enhance and enrich learning experiences for the children. We also provide the extras that make school memorable and aim for all our events, like our Christmas and Summer Fairs, to be fun for the whole family and a chance to get to know the school and other parents better.
Recent Fundraising
In recent years the PTFA have run a number of fundraising campaigns, including:
• To transform the school library and provide new books for the classrooms
• To transform the outdoor areas of the school and increase their useability. You will soon start to see this work getting underway.
• Our current fundraising is working towards buying new laptops for the school.
• We also regularly support smaller projects, such as subsidising school trips and funding additional learning experiences like workshops during world book week.
Getting Involved
The PTFA is run by a committee who are all volunteers. We are always looking for new members. We also always need volunteers to support us with running events. If you are interested in becoming involved or have any questions, please email: IKPTFA@skylarkfed.education.
