About Inverkeithing Highland Games 2025
Steeped in history, the Inverkeithing Highland Games as such go well back into history.
The Games and Lammas Fair (or Lambmas Fair) appear in Burgh records of 1652, when on the first day it is stated that all kinds of merchant goods and livestock, horses, cattle, sheep etc were on sale in the main street.
The games start with a procession from the Civic Centre, High St at 11.30am and closes at 5pm with the salute to the Chieftain by the massed pipe bands, followed by a procession back to the High St.
During the event there will be a variety of entertainment ranging from highland dancing, solo piping, both male and female heavyweight events, local tug o’war and track events. There will also be local vendors offering food, drinks, market stalls and fair ground style entertainment.
