About The Da Vinci Trio
Our celebration of Ravel continues with the astounding Piano Trio of 1914. Remarkably, this profound work was inspired by ice-cream vendors dancing a fandango.
Sally Beamish’s atmospheric work is similarly derived from folk music.
The acclaimed Da Vinci Trio will also feature Shostakovich’s impassioned first trio, composed when he was only sixteen, Mozart’s most subtle and complex trio, and the adagio from his Piano Sonata in F major KV 280 extraordinarily reimagined for trio by Arvo Pärt.
W.A. Mozart: Piano Trio in E major KV 542;
