About The Telyn Quartet plays Dillon, Mozart, Maconchy and Ravel
We continue our celebration of the 75th birthday of Scotland’s greatest living composer, James Dillon, and conclude our 150th anniversary survey of Ravel with this concert by an exciting young quartet based at Oxford University. They will open with one of Mozart’s ground-breaking Prussian quartets and also play a superb but rarely heard work composed during WWII by Maconchy, whose series of thirteen quartets are some of the finest of the last century
