About Santa Dash 2024 – Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight Santa Dash is back!
1st December 2024 - 10am start – Ryde Superbowl
Ryde and District Round Table are delighted to bring back the popular IoW Santa Dash, held at the familiar location of Ryde seafront.
Kick off your Christmas spirt by slipping into a Santa suit and making the dash for the finish line.
Tackle the 2km or 5km dash with your partner, kids, or friends…including those with 4 legs and a tail.
Buggies also welcome for those bringing under 3’s!
All proceeds from the event go to local island charities. This year we are extremely proud to be supporting the Mountbatten Hospice and FYFEY.
About Our Charities
Mountbatten Hospice promotes and provides great care and support for people who are living with, affected by or curious about death, dying and bereavement.
FYFEY, established in 2020 after the founder lost her best friend, Greame Fyfe, to suicide, FYFEY’s objectives are to raise mental health awareness by spreading kindness, hope and understanding – in turn, hopefully supporting suicide prevention.
About The Dash
The dash kicks off at 10:00 (with the safety briefing at 09:45 and the warm-up at 09:55).
Santa suits, hats and beards are included in your ticket price and must be worn – No bah humbugs here! If you have your own Santa suit (inc. hat and beard) and wish to wear it, please do so.
Please also ensure you wear suitable running footwear!
Upon completion of the dash, you will be awarded a medal. If you are unlikely to cherish your medal and don’t wish to take it home with you, please let us know, as every medal not given out, means little more for our charities!
Children under 3 are welcome and free to participate, however, we ask that they are in buggies during the dash.
Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire dash.
Dogs are welcome (one per adult or family) and they must be kept on a shot non-extending lead at all times.
Those wishing to participate who are physically impaired, should ring or email ahead of booking to discuss the suitability of the event for them. We will accommodate everyone where possible, providing we can ensure a safe environment to do so.
The ’After Party’
We invite you to join us for a well-earned non-alcoholic mulled wine and mince pies after the dash at the Ryde Superbowl, where we will conclude the event with a charity raffle.
