FREEDOM FIRST. A JAZZ CONCERT FEATURING, LIVE FROM DEATH ROW IN OHIO, WRONGLY-CONVICTED POET, KEITH LAMAR.

Keith LaMar is a wrongly-convicted African American man on Death Row in Ohio, USA. During lockdown he teamed up with jazz pianist Albert Marquès, and together they have been performing music and poetry, and released the first-ever album by a death-row prisoner, Freedom First.

Marquès has toured the USA and the world introducing audiences and dozens of renowned musicians to LaMar and his story in a series of concerts also called Freedom First.

This is the UK premiere, and features a stellar line-up of London musicians: Kevin G Davy on trumpet; Lakis Economou on bass and Cyro Zuzi on drums. Actor Tayo Aluko will also perform a “Monologue for Keith.”
