About THE PROHIBITION BALL 2025
A Celebration of all things Gatsby, Peaky Blinders and of course, The Roaring 20’s!
The evening features the legendary Kal's Kats Band (of Peaky Blinders fame) playing live and providing a soundtrack you just have to get up and dance to.
If you haven't seen or heard a live big band in full flow before, wow what an astonishing surprise awaits you!
Ace Spectrum Videotheque Sound and Vision DJ will compliment the Big Band sounds providing a mix of classic old school music to keep you up and dancing til late.
How do we combine and blend Steampunk and a night like this?
Well, we believe it includes the magical ingredients of a medley of a beautiful ballroom perfect for the music, fantastic live entertainment and your imagination!
Dress code is entirely at your discretion, although we would encourage and appreciate a nod to Peaky Blinders, The Great Gatsby and Prohibition Era.
The whole evening is really about having fun, letting your hair down, meeting up again and welcoming in Whitby Steampunk Weekend XVIII…we don’t do steampunk ‘rules and regulations’ on attire here at WSW, we just wanna have fun lol!!!
Doors open at 7pm for promenading, posing and pictures etc
Entertainment starts in earnest from 8pm and party till 1am.
